Mary Ungrangsee has enjoyed an extensive career as a soprano and jazz singer around the world. She has performed as a soloist with symphony orchestras, including numerous concerts with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra. In addition, she has sung with jazz ensembles and bands across the United States.

Most recently, Ms. Ungrangsee has completed recording a Thai-language album of well-loved songs by renowned Thai songwriter Boyd Kosiyapong. The songs were re-arranged for orchestra and recorded by conductor Bundit Ungrangsee with the International Orchestra of Italy. The first single from the album, "This Place" was used extensively in an advertising campaign for Krungthai Bank. The full album is scheduled for release on Sony/BMG later in 2007.

Ms. Ungrangsee toured the United States and abroad as the only female member of the award-winning a cappella ensemble Extempo for three years. During that time, the group recorded two award-winning CDs and was nominated for several CARAs (Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards), awards given annually by the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America (CASA).

Ms. Ungrangsee was also nominated two consecutive years as Female Vocalist of the Year by CASA. She recorded a critically acclaimed solo CD. Her solo recitals and performances have been well-received around the world, including audiences in Seoul, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Taipei and across the United States.

The Charleston Post and Courier newspaper has praised Ms. Ungrangsee as a "gifted vocalist," able to deliver programs with "style and sensitivity….Her light and creamy soprano is well-supported by both deep musicality and stylistic versatility."

Before launching her career as a soloist, Ms. Ungrangsee enjoyed an extensive career as a studio vocalist and television performer. Her credits include dozens of professional recordings, television programs and radio broadcasts. She was in great demand as a television performer and musical advisor in Seoul, Korea, where she lived for several years.

Ms. Ungrangsee is currently writing a book for singers scheduled for release later in 2007. The book will be a guide for singers hoping to make the most of their voice, and can also be used as a guide for beginning singers. Ms. Ungrangsee was born in the United States, and spent most of her childhood living abroad in Asia. Her husband, Bundit Ungrangsee, is a renowned symphony conductor. They have two daughters.
